M196 & M856 Tracers

M196 Tracers
• Used for observation of fire, incendiary effect, and signaling
• Designed for M16A1 but can be used in M16A2
• Should be mixed with ball ammo ideally with a 4:1 ratio

M856 Tracers
• For use in M16A2 rifle due to 63.7 gr. bullet
• Similar to M196 but slightly longer tracer burnout distance
• Red tip (orange tip when linked 4:1 with ball; M249 SAW)
