Bill W. and Dr. Bob Byron Taylor (Bill W.) and Bubba Madden (Dr. Bob) had good chemistry as the leads. Taylor was a perfect casting choice for the handsome, charming Wilson, giving charisma to the character. Arkansas Times, August 17, 2001 In the lobby, an exhibit of AA history and literature invites perusal, and one might be surprised to see, in the photo of the real Bill W., that Taylor is not too handsome, too clear-eyed, to portray one of the century's more important drunks.
